Sadly when we arrived the hotel was undergoing major refurbishment works. Fortunately the wonderful lady on reception (I think her name was Lena), knew that with the disruption from the works we would not enjoy our 18 night stay and offered cancellation at no charge, and worked with me to find another suitable hotel in the same location. Eventually we agreed on the AC Hotels by Marriott (so Marriott did not lose out on the booking which suited us all). This young lady should be highly commended for taking a difficult situation and turning it into a great experience!

Very well located with restaurants within walking distance as is the beach The property is under construction & the pool is closed. They did say we could get free chairs in the beach but that didn’t happen because of weather. Not their fault. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

The room was nice as well as the location with lots of shops and restaurants, plus the beach, nearby. They also provided complimentary chairs on the beach since the pool was not accessible.

I am very disappointed with the Courtyard By Marriott Fort Lauderdale. I stayed at the hotel from March 28th to March 31st and I forgot to collect a package in my name that was at reception. I sent several emails to: frontdesk@courtyardftlauderdale.com advising that a friend would collect the package, I sent all the data and documents to be able to collect but I never received a response from the hotel... My friend was at the hotel twice in order to collect the package but they didn't deliver it, only the manager could do it but the manager never is available to do it. Please Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale return my package or at least respond to my emails. I would really like to be able to get my package from the hotel.
